Vets With A Mission

Founded in 1988, Vets With A Mission is a group of Vietnam veterans and non-veterans dedicated to bringing healing, reconciliation and renewal to the people of Vietnam. It strives to accomplish this through the compassionate, humanitarian efforts of people like you.

What we do: Vets With A Mission has a variety of projects. We work to establish Clinics and Rehabilitation Centers, offer medical training programs, and work with local doctors to help improve their level of education and skills. We work with local churches providing Bibles and Christian literature, funding church repairs, and supporting their outreach efforts, which includes Christian medical teams that reach out to those who are unable to get proper medical care.

In the Shadow of the Blade

Voted Best Documentary film at the Houston International Film Festival 2004.  Arrowhead Films production recording the 11,000 mile flight across country of a restored Huey helicopter from the Vietnam War. Several of the MWSA members were in this film including one of the four veteran crew members Bill McDonald who rode with it across the country as the mission chaplain.

PBS documentary and Pentagon Film about PTSD featuring MWSA President W. H. McDonald Jr. who helped in the production of the 2005 film.  This web page offers insight into PTSD as well as offering forums, therapeutic tools and aids as a follow-up to the film.
